In my work I create narratives that communicate the difficulties of the human condition through the use of line, high-saturated colors, the figure, and animals. I draw inspiration all the way back to my earliest memories with my family growing up in the south, experiences in the present moment, and even stories I was told as a child. The compositions I create act as a shrine where I house my own internal struggles and the difficulties I face in life. I use materials that allow for direct contact with a surface giving me a linear advantage and allowing me to catch the intense nature of my personality and past, and channel that energy it into my characters.
